wonders of connecting

id been researching a lot on my SE w 960 i. Especially on the hacking part. Its sounded like hacking to a computer database when u first hear it. But really it isnt that hard at all. With the right tools and guide, its as easy as pie.U just need to follow all the insruction. And of course having the right software to hack the fone. To do crueltial and advance modding. u must understand why the hacking is very important to do further modding that involve creating ur own software for ur fone.comparing to system UIQ3.0 is using. Even as a symbian phone, UIQ is not that complicated as his brothers like nokia are going now. With the new arrival of symbian s60 version 5, people most likely turn to nokia because of the touch screen and qwerty keyboard that are getting very popular nowadays.

This remind me of my old motorokr E2. Id flash it, overclock it,customized it and fully use its funtionality. Its a legend to the rokr series.

But tru time and the fast evolve of the technology, i had to move to other types of fone. Id onced own a sony walkman, nokia n81, motorazr x3xx and my latest fone is the w 960 and nokia e63.

Both are excellent

But i still wish for window mobile fone.hehe....

The internet browser.

How was the internet experience tru w960 i? Well, it quite everage since it only work with 3G and doesn support hsdpa or hudpa. With the pre-installed opera that comes with the phone. The browser speed is just average. It takes about a few second or maybe a minutes to load a full html website. But funny sometime the browser can act very fast tru some connection, tru wifi or broadband connection. Im not very clear of this, my word comes from my experience using the phone not just plain judgement. every phone has it powers and weakness... And no phone is perfect. So at the end, we just have to choose what fits our best. Heres some screenshot i take from the browser.

its run on a previous opera that support touchscreen. To be frank Its a stressout when u intend to zoom in and out of the page. Theres a lot of tapping to do. Just to zoom in or out. Of course u have to tap tru the setting to disable the 'fit to screen' view for a full web view. The opera interface is not for the impatient heart. the browser does support java script. But not to the latest version. U cannot view flash in a website. so theres still lot of Downturn and different compare to the html browser by NOkia. Since its a previous product, it is stupid to compare it to the latest other smartphone available in the market today.
Dont worry.... We're save by opera UIQ user. There hv been an upgrade by the opera company and its about the mobile opera browser that support touch screen. We have 2 choices of internet opera to download from the opera developer. There's the java version of the most popular lite browser and the sis type mobile opera for the UIQ platform. Its still in beta but hei, the beta version is already that awesome. imagine how the browser work after it fully release. Its should work a thousand time better than the beta version.
And i respected all the master of UIQ for creating a player that could stream the youtube channel. Its the core player. Thanks to them, u wont be bore with ur uiq device. Even though there's still some annoying bug with the software but it still show there's still some future to the UIQ platform even though the developers of UIQ just announce their bailout of producing more updated UIQ platform.sad UIQ is suppose to be more advance since the symbian s60 just move to touch screen. Thanks to those pirate now UIQ is close and most people on the forum says 'died'.

replacing the font on w960i -error-

Id finally find the solution on restoring the original font on my SE W 960 i. but i dont really understand how did i manage to change the font back to default. All i do is downloaded a set of fonts from the net and rename it to the fonttype that the fone is able to read.

i read a tread in forum sharing some knowledge on how to change the font in my fone. Im quite excited because changing font would be a huge modification to my fone since it majorly change the way i look at my fone. I downloaded the rar file consisting the pack of some interesting looking fonts tru dotsis. After a few try with the capswitch and swiss manager pro hacking technic, i manage to change the font... Yay!! at first i don see any problem at all. Then finally i got the x-key application. Its a virtual keyboard made to replace the original boring qwerty keyboard. when i install the keytapper(its a application to control the popup of the keyboard) then i realise there was somthing wrong with thd display of the keyboard.its not about the color or appearance of the application. The long waited virtual qwerty keyboard fail to display the symbols. wtf just happen?! It really surprise me n got me in a worry. It become more annoying when browsing the net since logging to my favourite social website requires my emel id! And emels need @ symbols and it really sucks when ur fone cant read or write @

. It even doesnt showsd up when i check the symbol library in my w 960 . I cant write symbol even tru writing reconigtion.id spent hours searching & reading info on solving the problem incase i miss any of the changing font step. Wondering if any one in the world faces the same problem id being in. The good news is when i did the modding i'd just replace the original font with the new one id just downloaded without doing any backup. Meaning i'v deleted the original file. How can i make things worse huh?. Desperado id been, i even begged the dotsis admin to shared the original file. But thanks to my 'not givin up that easily' attitude just gave me a chance to save the fone from being sent to the service centre. If u have the same problem, u can mail me for the guide on repairing the mod. Now i cant suft and use the qwerty virtual keyboard again... Fuhh... Lega.

the diary

Id been thinking all this while, what would happen if i continued to wrote this blog in malay, writing in my language would be impolite to other nation who come to my blog, and for what i see people more intersted in in gadget is foreigners. Its not that people in my country are not interested to mobile gadget, they just preferred to go direct to the stores and ask the solution there rather than looking for free info such as blogs like this. Most of them but not all. currently my latest gadget in hand is sony ericsson w 960 i. And for what i know is the 'i' is for international. I bought this fone about ringgit malaysia 1080 . Thats about USD 284.20 . Its not my dream fone but it reassemble the function that i want from the budget i have.hehe... Frustrated for i cant have my X1 and htc or n85. So i choose the w960 i as a cure to my frustration. i wanted to try a touch screen fone, but its quite expensive to have the latest one. But im ambitious, ill get one of those soon. But id been wanting to try a UIQ phone for quite some time. Id watch the gdesk application review on the net and i decided to try. after searching the net for the perfect fone, the battle finally came to this last 2 UIQ phone....

The W960i and the G900....

its kinda hard to choose at that time. but im not just looking for a PDA type of fone, but a multimedia type also.... the price is not that far... the old w960 cost more than the G900. and strange really, how can the latest fone from sony the G900 that is more up-to-date can be cheaper than the old w960,

at the end i choose the old cranky long forgotten w960i, hehe.... since all the modding video uses the fone, so i pick the w960...
