WARNING before doing a reset to your W960i

think twice before u do any resetting onto your UIQ device...

i was planning to sell my w960i so i reset it so that it will set to factory mode. its a big mistake that i dont do any backup on the image for the phone and now the walkman apps cant start at all. when i press my walkman hardware button the screen will display "not enough memory" to start the walkman player application. it must be the walkman modification that id done previously. remember the kastor modding i added up before this in this blog? yes, i notice that the original file of the walkman player was deleted also. bummer... theres no way to repair this after you reset the phone.

theres some alternative on repairing other than sending the phone to the service centre. one of it is flashing the device. but its hard to get the correct flash tool to do this, i ask one of the dotsis and neuman UIQmaster for their opinion on repairing this.

its better to copy the original file of the phone before doing any modding especially copying the roms original files and put it somewhere in the external flash memory or to the pc.

to have it back to the original state. u have to do a software update via the net.

if u reset it first before doing the update. the update software tool wont recognise your device. how to update if u cant connect the device to the pc.

so please do a research before doing any "original state" modding.

its better to maintain than a repairing the fault.

thanks...

p.s. this blog is DONE. Id upgraded and migrate to WinMo platform and my new device is Xperia X1i...
